How Mercari fees work
Mercari charges on item price + buyer-paid shipping. Flat 10% selling fee. No seller payment-processing fee.
- Mercari removed the seller payment-processing fee (2.9% + $0.50) in January 2025. If you are working from an older calculator, it is overcharging you.
- Buyers now pay a separate service fee instead. That is their cost, not yours, but it does raise the total price a buyer sees.
- Payouts cost $2.00 for standard direct deposit, or $3.00 for Instant Pay — a per-payout cost, not per-sale, so batching withdrawals reduces it.
